- Stay on the A 7 Ulm-Kempten until the end of the motorway (15 mins to Fuessen)
- Main roads B 309, B 310, B 16 and B 17 (Romantic Road from Wuerzburg to Fuessen)
- In Fuessen, follow the signposts for the castles, then stay on the main road through Horn instead of turning off right to the castles at the fork in the road after the bridge
From the east (Salzburg/Munich)
- A 96 Motorway in the direction of Lindau
- Buchloe exit
- B12 to Marktoberdorf
- B17 to Füssen
- In Fuessen, follow the signposts for the castles, then stay on the main road through Horn instead of turning off right to the castles at the fork in the road after the bridge
